Description
Giulia Lazzaron (Milan, 1992) by 13sedicesimi, a fusion of art and publishing for an exclusive handmade in Italy collaboration.
The artist is particularly linked to the naturalistic world. She has created her own glossary of manta rays, tigers and hybrid creatures.
The work represents an aquatic infestation of genetically modified animals, due to sea pollution. The surface of the water is thus contaminated by multiple creatures, such as manta rays with multiple tentacles, sharks with various fins and fangs, snakes with multiple eyes and new hybrid species that swim in stagnant water.
A real infestation of new animals that exude poison and suffering, which at the same time, in an impulse of extreme vitality, have managed to modify themselves to survive, in an extreme act of resistance to human barbarism.
The artist creates a concentrated composition of new animal and plant forms, engraving, drawing, scratching the surface of the photographic paper that becomes a new matrix.
